Lion Crest transforms data you have to the data you need. Foot Fall Pressure Study: A study was performed for looking at pressures on feet while wearing different shoes and performing different activities; standing, walking, dancing, etc. The client came to us with a large amount of raw data from the study and we created a program that converted the data into a proprietary format that could be read by a third-party data analysis software system. Medical information: There are several medical information standard formats (HL7, NCPDP, and NSF). There are also numerous interpretations of those standards. For example when it says to put the doctors name, is it first name or last name first? Is it the name of the doctor that performed the procedure, the prescribing doctor, the primary care doctor, the admitting doctor or maybe the head of the clinic? These and hundreds of other questions come into play when trying to move medical information from one system to another. We have been involved with helping move half a million medical records from one system to another, changing formats and information as appropriate. Some projects run once for a static data transfer, while other clients require a continuous translation at their office. Mailing: Lion Crest Software Services has been involved in several projects where a client provides multiple databases of information and form letters that need to be completed with information from the data. Name and address information is simple, but when there are dozens of other fields to be completed, that can affect the length of letters, and each letter must be of the same number of pages to be processed in cutting and folding machines things can start to get complex. Add in the needs for filtering, sorting and manipulations to the data and complexity is reached by anyone’s definition. The custom software we developed created thousands of PDF based letters which were given to the client for printing, envelope stuffing and mailing. Web Site Data Extraction: A company created a website consisting of several hundred pages and thousands of products over a period of time. They realized that it was beyond time to organize that information into a database so the web pages could be generated on demand and allow for easy information updating but the firm they wanted to use could not retrieve the data from their present website. We developed the program to extract the important information out of the existing web pages into multiple formats for the customer’s primary firm to continue with their development. |
